What parents need to know about the Facebook whistleblower and social media transparency

This week on New Mexico’s ABC affiliate KOAT News Morning Segment our director Lisa Honold discussed the need for transparency from social media companies so that parents can decide if this is what they want for their children.

We learned of a whistleblower named Frances Haugen inside Facebook that released tens of thousands of internal documents that proved what we've long suspected--Facebook has amplified hate speech, political unrest and misinformation around the world and Instagram (owned by Facebook) has harmed teens' mental health.
