Social Media is Making It Easier Than Ever for Teens to Gain Access to Counterfeit Drugs

On ABC’s affiliate, KOAT News Morning Segment in New Mexico, our director, Lisa Honold talked about kids and how social media has made it easier for them to gain access to counterfeit prescription drugs.

Those selling counterfeit and illegal prescription drugs often use hashtags and post photos on social media to advertise their products.

Parents should speak with their kids about the dangers of taking any prescription drug that is not prescribed to them and considering using a monitoring app to see when your child sends or receives a message about drugs.
